Future taste of summer past
One of my favorite sounds is the “twonk” of a cooling jam jar, it’s a sound that says summer delights are ahead, even in the midst of a New England winter.
This batch will have another memory as well, of Lilyana practicing her squares and square roots while cutting up the strawberries. I hope her feelings about math and cooking stay as joyful as she was in that moment.
