On Thanksgiving for Single Dads

I read this blog post The Meaning of Family, Alternative Thanksgivings and All by the fabulously talented Chris Jones a few days ago and have been thinking about it ever since.

In particular, how often am I watching and negatively judging other dads and/or feeling judged myself? What I call “Yardstick mind” leaves us all short.

I’ve been thinking about color, clothes, and gender a lot lately, and this widely (at least in my circles) reblogged post raises some of the same issues, so I’ll leave it to Nerdy Apple Bottom:
